About the event

Vital Dance | For people affected by Parkinson's
Vital Dance classes empower participants to explore movement and music in ways that are refreshing, enjoyable, stimulating and creative.

Exercises are designed to focus the mind and engage the body in both intrinsic and expansive movements, which stimulate memory, spatial and self-awareness. The class includes seated, standing and travelling combinations, always with the option to remain seated. Classes connect participants to their fellow Parkinson’s community, encouraging social interaction over tea, coffee and refreshments.

Dancenorth’s Vital Dance classes are part of the global Dance for PD program developed in New York by the Mark Morris Dance Company and our teachers undergo specialised training to facilitate the lessons.

Class capacity is limited. For more information and to register, please visit https://dancenorth.com.au/events/dance-class/vital-dance-1
